Never Again!!!! JFK via London Gatwick: -When you get to the JFK Norse Airways counter they make you fit your bag in a small container and it barely fits because of your suitcase wheels. Sorry that will cost you $140 now. If you break the wheels of the suitcase then it fits. What a scam they running. -Each Suitcase costs $140 if you check it in under the plane. -Carry On is $85 -You can't fit a medium size laptop on your folding table, the seat is not stretch out enough, a tablet is preferred. Bad Boeing 787 design. -They won't even come up to your seat and ask you if you want something to drink without paying for it first on the seat screen. -You have to pre-pay for your seats -They finally gave us water in a cup and tasted like Chlorine, nasty taste.

A bit surprised here as I was looking for flights from the US to Lisbon and Aer Lingus came up as an option but significantly cheaper than the competitors (even Portugal's own airline) so I was curious but from your experience, it doesn't look too bad, and could save me a few hundred dollars (I'm not usually picky about flying in economy as long as the seat is decent and the plane is clean and the airline has a good safety record, with the last being perhaps the most important obviously).\ About the green lighting though, I think it has been shown that blue is a more soothing color even though these lights generally do not stay on all of the flight (at least for overnight flights) but taht's probably why it's used. In fact blue is used by many airlines probably for this reason.

How's food?

On the Delta app it does not promise a luxury flight. It gives the exact picture & description of everything that Delta Comfort Plus including inches of leg room & reclining. On an only 4 hour flight Delta states that flyers get a snack, not a dinner. That's why it's not expensive. Any misconceptions are purely from the customer that didn't read the description.

I think having the flight from RIC direct to west coast alone makes it worth the money..

I just checked. Oct 2024 dates Norse basic economy (no seat selection no checked luggage) LGW-JFK is 470 round trip versus 448 round for United economy (seat selection and 1 checked luggage). In premium economy classic Norse is 984 round trip (1 checked luggage) versus United for 1003 round trip (2 checked luggage). With these prices, I would pick United as I can collect miles and use my *G status for lounge access (lounges in Heathrow are so much better). Plus United departs from Heathrow which is much easier to get to compared to Gatwick.

Hopefully add some more routes out of MHT. It would be nice if someone flew non stop to Vegas from somewhere in New England other than Boston

unfortunately the 330 doesn't fly from HNL to SJC. You get the 321 and I've flown 1st class and it wasn't the same standard as the 330. Not worth ubering from SFO to Sunnyvale just to fly the 330.

After reading some of the posts here I don't see why having great food and a great seat should be mutually exclusive. Frankly I'm quite shocked how ANA decided to just sub the first meal with a midnite snack, especially when in the past the culinary experience on ANA has always been one of its major signatures. Never mind they still have a heated rivalry with JAL, this comes across like a slap in the face. Let's hope this midnite snack substitute is not a sign of things to come on Japanese airlines with late night departures from the U.S. too 😮

JSX is every regular airline before 1985. This was every single normal flight. They stopped both free alcohol, drinks, and snacks in the 90s; and after Sep. 2001, they started the security measures. Before then, *EVERY* flight was like this. I flew a lot as a kid in the 70s-80s

Asian airlines typically have FAs usually tell people to put their seats up during meal service... too bad this isn't common elsewhere

Great video! We are booked in AF premium economy this summer. I’m wondering if the bulkhead seats have foot rests? If so, I would definitely book bulkhead. Otherwise, I want the footrests.

I flew this product in the short lived LAX-BER route (I booked the day the route was announced because it fit perfectly into my existing travel plans) so. I had more time to enjoy the seat. Thanks to massive recline it can be bothersome to get out of a window or center seat if the seat in front of the aisle seat is reclined. Many passengers didn't realize the footrest AR adjustable. The premium trays sometimes don't stow correctly which led to a go around in Berlin. because the cabin crew wasn't finished securing the premium cabin. I'm currently looking into the BER-JFK and Mia-ber route this fall. Of course premium (with these prices). Pro tipp: it's cheaper to book the cheapest premium option and add luggage than to book the medium premium option which as far as I can see only has added luggage.

Why no mention of the price paid for the ticket?

I flew Norwegian premium to Boston a few years back…..have to say that then the meals were slightly better, there was a great selection of free alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails, plus airport lounge and premium security lane were then all included in the price. So Norse with its food that looks like standard economy fare on most legacy carrier airlines, looks like a bit of a downgrade to me…. Sorry!

Norwegian went bust? When?

As a frequent flyer, who has flown from most of the UKs major airports. I find your criticism of Gatwick to be ridiculous. It's by far one of the best airports in the UK, and the amenities are fantastic. If you're departing from South terminal, arriving ahead of schedule. Then catching the monorail to the North terminal is advised, the North is far better equipped.

Did you take the blanket?

I love it when Americans are so easily pleased (food?, twice ?? LOL). Long Haul Low Cost is difficult to make profits. Will Norse survive longer than all the other failed attempts? Gatwick is a very poor airport. OK if living close by or taking a cheap easyJet or bucket and spade charter flight but certainly not quality long haul. Notfor me thanks. Heathrow is so much better.
